National Apprenticeship Week 2014 - Day 3

National Apprenticeship Week 2014 - Day 3

Wednesday 5th March - NAW2014 Round Up...

Out and About with Gordon:

Gordon Simpson, our Employer Engagement Officer, was at Park Lane High School to deliver a formal presentation around Apprenticeships. He continued to give details and information about how students can progress through undertaking a qualification where you earn while you learn. If you think your students would benefit from a visit from Gordon give Calderdale Training a call on 01422 399325.

Apprentice Hoodies

Our specially designed Apprentice Hoodies now been handed out to Training Officers. The team aim to distribute to their Apprentice learners this week and next. Look out for photographs of learners receiving their hoodies in the workplace.

Juice Morning

Final reminders went out for the Let’s Talk Apprenticeship Juice Morning taking place on the 6th March. Juice has been purchased, information has been gathered and employers are on board to attend. If you want further information about Apprenticeships drop in between 9:30am and 12pm.

A Week in the Life of Our Winner

Josh has been working on the second wave of Calderdale College Hoodie distribution. These hoodies are for the learners who did not receive them in January. He also had some time available to help with the organisation for the Apprentice Hoodie segment of NAW2014.

Late afternoon Josh could be found undertaking his Maths Functional Skills class. He is getting ready for his exams that will complete this section of his Apprenticeship Framework.

(Joshua Bates, 2013 Regional Award Winner, has agreed to be followed around this week. We will be capturing him in his every day working life as an Advanced Business Administration Apprentice within the busy Marketing Department at Calderdale College.)
